Chappan Kaddu, also known as Summer Squash or vegetable marrow (Cucurbita pepo), comes with a bland flavour and is available in varied colours such as green, white or irregularly striped green and white. The flesh is white with no cavity and the seeds are embedded in the flesh. This squash is milder in taste and slightly more fibrous in texture than other squash, has a sweet, nutty flavour.
