Horse gram is a reddish brown coloured, oval-shaped, flattened and round, glossy skinned lentil. It is rich in minerals, especially iron, phosphorus and calcium. On the vitamin side, it is extremely high in B-Complex. Since it falls into the legume family, it is rich in both proteins and fibre. It also contains antioxidants and polyphenols.
