Halawi is a medium-sized elongated date with buttery blonde coloured skin. With a similar appearance and texture to that of Mabroom, it is a preferred choice for people with sugar sensitivities because of its low sugar content. Halawi dates may look semi-soft and fibrous but are quick to melt on the palate.
