Description

Microgreen Red Amaranth are very small in size, averaging 57 centimetres in length, with a central stem connected to 24 elliptic-shaped leaves. They are crisp, and tender, and have a mild, sweet, earthy flavour reminiscent of mustard but with much less spice and a delicate grassy finish. Sunflower microgreens have a nutty flavour similar to raw sunflower seeds, combined with a texture like that of spinach. Turnip microgreens are the young, tender shoots of the turnip plant, typically harvested when they are 23 inches tall. They are characterised by vibrant green leaves and white or variegated stems, often showing pink and purple hues in varieties such as Purple Top. These microgreens have a mildly sweet, slightly peppery flavour. The pleasantly peppery radish microgreens, which boast a flavour similar to that of root radishes, are easy to groweven in winterand are a good choice for those new to growing edible microgreens at home. Harvested at about two inches tall, these peppery seedlings are great in salads and cold soups.
